Agenda for the EGM - 25th May 2024
>>> New Membership Structure and New Rates - MUST BE VOTED ON BY MEMBERSHIP TO TAKE EFFECT
What You Were Never Told
- The Sewage System - Why we keep closing the toilets (and why they flood)
- Is the Deck Safe? Can we keep it open? How long for?
- The Restaurant and Profitability - Club finances sucked into the restaurant
- The Needham’s Point Payment of 20k-40k in June
- Inflation and New Day-Pass Options
- Moving the AGM to end March to coincide with the financial year
- AOB

Should the EGM require a Resolution:
1st May 2024 - Proposed Ordinary Resolution for the Extraordinary General Meeting to be held 25th May 2024 at 7pm at the Barbados Cruising Club
Whereas the Committee of the Barbados Cruising Club has the guardianship to manage the Barbados Cruising Club's financial success, the current fee structure is no longer suited for the needs of the membership or the context of the club today.
Now, therefore, be it resolved to increase the membership rates in accordance with the proposed changes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WUKoUpHGziFEOizX4ONn_IB2vFVlFCc6
Now, therefore, be it resolved further to increase the membership rates annually in line with inflation at the end of each AGM to the nearest $10.

Mount Gay Round Barbados Race
The Mount Gay Round Barbados Race will take place on Sunday 21st Jan 2024.
The yacht will circumnavigate the island clockwise starting with the West Coast of Barbados. If the crow flew in a circle, the Mount Gay Round Barbados Race would be about 60 miles, but yachts end up doing around 90 miles. The constant trade winds and incredible sailing conditions make it a great course.
Starting and ending at the Barbados Cruising Club, the boats will sail through the historic Carlisle Bay, pass the Bridgetown deep water harbour to starboard.
Then begins a 20-mile tight reach in calm water up the West Coast of Barbados, past the homes of the very rich and famous passing Holetown and Speightstown.
